When it comes to websites, you have a few options.

One, you can dive in headfirst and learn as you go. This route can be troublesome if you are not really tech savvy and do not have a lot of time before you would like to launch it.

The second option is that you can find someone that can do this for you. Of course, you need to make sure you have enough funds to pay the person or company to do it for you, but when you consider how many hours it can take to learn how to do it yourself & you find you are still not happy, you may find that your time & peace of mind is worth the going rate.

Enter Spry Digital.

About our guest

I met Ken Moire some time back here in St. Louis. Ken is one of the co-founders of a web design & application development company called Spry Digital. Spry Digital has been in business now for just over 5 years and judging by their portfolio, do some pretty impressive work.

In this episode Ken talks about:

  • How Spry Digital started
  • Some of the services that they offer
  • What sets them apart from other companies in their field
  • Some business tips that he wishes someone would have shared with him when he was helping get the business up off the ground

This is definitely one episode you want to stay to the end for as Ken gives some solid advice to those of you looking to get started in your own business.

Have you been to a conference or trade show lately?

If so, did the event have a mobile app for your smartphone that helped you choose your schedule, find your way around with a map or update you with show news?

There is a good chance that the software was created by a local St. Louis company, BusyEvent.

Founded by Brian Slawin & David Schenberg, BusyEvent can help not only attendees, but also event organizers & sponsors by giving them important information that is relevant to their position. As mentioned before, attendees like having the schedule & map right in their hand. Organizers like knowing which sessions were most popular and how well they did with planning. Sponsors of course want to know that their money was well spent and how many qualified new contacts they made amongst other data.

Have a listen to the episode and make sure to contact Brian & David if you have any other questions you would like answered.

Make sure to visit BusyEvent.com for more information.

When it comes to broadcasters in St. Louis that have been involved in both radio & podcasts, it is difficult to find a host who has been around as long as our guest here, Mark Bland.

Mark has been involved in broadcasting for just over 20 years in some form or fashion and is one of, if not the only show from St. Louis that started as a podcast and made the transition to radio.

His current show, which can be found over at TheQNow.com & MarkBland.net is a "mix of current affairs, current events & pop culture with a political twist".

As a host, Mark is definitely someone who likes to get conversations going and has a lot of great insight into topics that affect society today. Whether on his show, or on social media, you know where you stand with Mark. Often times that may not be a good thing, but sometimes you need to refer back to the old adage of "Not judging a book by its cover".

Make sure to visit TheQNow.com to listen & get more information about the show, which is actually produced by the producer (Robert Hickman) from the popular radio show of years past, Steve & D.C. Morning Show.
